Cascadia Leather Society: Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Updated Oct 8, 2026
This policy explains how CLS collects and uses health information about members and guests, as Washington's My Health My Data Act requires.
What we collect
Only answers you choose to give to questions on an event page, such as access needs or allergies. The questions we ask right now are listed below. We don't collect health information any other way, and we don't infer it from anything else you do.
Why
To run the event you asked about: to set up the venue, plan food, and help you get in and around. Each question says why we ask it.
Your consent
We store an answer only after you agree to that question on its own, separately from the club's terms. You can go to an event without answering.
Who can see it
You, and the club's secretary. Each time one of them opens your answer, it's recorded, and you can see who and when under My privacy. Health answers are never used for club statistics or mailing lists.
Sharing and selling
We don't share health answers with anyone outside the club, and we never sell them. Colors, the software we use to run the club, stores them for us under our instructions and can't read them for its own purposes.
How long we keep it
Answers are deleted 30 days after the event ends, or as soon as you delete them.
Your rights
You can see every health answer we hold about you, who has read it, and delete it at any time from My privacy in your member account. Deleting an answer withdraws your consent and erases it. If you can't use the app, contact a club officer and we'll do it for you.

Health questions we ask right now
- Is there anything we should know about access? For example step-free entry, seating, sensory breaks, or a support person. Why: So the organizers can set up the venue and help you get in and around.
