Reporting a safety concern
How to tell the safety team about something, with your name or without it.
If something happened that made you or someone else unsafe, you can tell the club's safety team from Safety. You don't need to be sure it "counts".
Who reads it
Reports go only to the club's safety team lead role. The president and other officers can't open them. The report page names the people who will read yours.
Writing the report
Choose what kind of concern it is, and if you like, the event, when it happened, and who it's about. Then write one line that sums it up and as much detail as you want.
If you name someone, type their scene name exactly. If it doesn't match a member, the name is kept in your report as you wrote it.
With your name, or anonymously
Tick Report anonymously before you send, and Colors stores no link to you. Even the time is rounded to the hour. Two things to know:
- What you write can still identify you. If only you and one other person were there, the safety team may work out who sent it.
- An anonymous report can't be followed up, and it won't appear in your list of reports.
After you send it
If you sent it with your name, it appears under Your reports with its status: received, being reviewed, decision made, or closed. You see where it is, not the safety team's notes. Reports can't be edited after sending, so if you remember more, send another one.
There are no email updates. Check back on Safety, or talk to the safety lead directly.
The safety team follows written steps for every case, including asking the other person for their side. Any restriction they decide applies in this club only. Colors never shares ban lists between clubs.
